(Out of production) X-Cessories VTX Retro/Neo Racks
VTX Luggage Racks for 1300R/S, 1800R/S/N

This rack was designed to work on VTX retros that run Corbin Beetle Bags. It will however work on any VTX Retro even if you don't have Beetle Bags.

Our rack was designed by Kenny Metcalf for his need with his Retro running Corbins Beetle Bags. This rack is very sturdy. It has that retro look and plenty of tie down spots.

There is nothing on the market this well made other than this rack, to accomodate Beetle Bag users.

Those of you with Beetle Bags have had NO option to carry that extra tour pack on back without taking a chance at scratching your rear fender. Many of your passengers have had to endure back packs. Other companies have tried to make a rack for this application but their applications were flimsy and easily broken.

Our racks are solid! Each rack has a solid steel laydown base plate (our design). This also gives your bike a custom laydown license plate look.

The vertical support bars are welded directly to the laydown base plate and to the base of the racks undercarraige.

The base plate mounts directly to your rear fender. Simply remove the original license plate and the original Honda plate bracket (removing the 3 bolts that hold that bracket in place to your fender). Replace our base plate to the 3 hole mounting bracket on your VTX using the original 3 bolts. Bolt the top down with your 6mm allen seat bolt or X-Cessories Seat Knob, and replace your license plate and plate cover trim on top of our base plate.

NOTE: Those of you with curved custom plate covers, these can still be used, you will just need longer bolts (we've been told).

That it! It's that simple.

When your long ride is over, simply remove the license plate, the 3 bolts and the seat bolt, and you are ready to store the rack till the next long ride. You bike can transform back to it's original state all in a matter of minutes.

Weight legal disclaimer..
stuff we gotta say...

The rack can hold a good amount of weight (we ran it with a fairly good amount/loaded on a 1300 mile weekend round trip to see how much it really could hold),

It handled great with a rider, passenger, and complete load of clothing, High winds, high speeds and passenger shifting. The rack showed no signs of stress or weakening after our trip was over.

But for our liability reasons... "we recommend the same as all rack manufacturers" that you never over load it, and never put more than 10 lbs. on it.

You will see, that this rack is capable of enduring many many long trips carrying the things you simply need to take with you that do not fit into your saddle bags.

We also suggest placing all the heavier objects into the saddle bags to balance the bike better, and lighter things in the "luggage rack" tour packs.

It's all about safety, and enjoying many years of riding. So pack smart.

Okay, now get out and ride.

"Kenny.....package arrived today. Now THAT is what I call a luggage rack,
thick, heavy duty, stable. Nice quality work, dude.

It works perfectly on my 1300S. For future reference or if anyone else asks about the kuryakyn curved license plate frame I didn't need to make any mods either. I removed the license plate frame mounting piece and bolted the luggage rack to the bike like it's designed. Then I bolted the curved license (frame only) directly to the luggage rack with the available holes. I simply used a longer bolt 1/4"x1" and wing nuts. Viola~ Im heading to DC on Weds so it will get its 1st real test then. I'll send ya some pics to post. Thanx, George Pack - Lexington, KY"
